Nine Mile Canyon Brands by Jerrold Dalton Oliver Rasmussen, long time resident, lived on the ranch in the mouth of Dry Canyon. The homesteader on this place was 'Daddy' Russell, who sold to Oliver Rasmussen. In researching the origin of Oliver's brand, I discovered a T (tee) four brand recorded in 1901 by Henry Rasmussen in Cleveland, Utah, similar to Oliver's. However, Oliver's brand recorded same year, same place was called T forty-one. Oliver used this brand until his death at that time Humbert Presett inherited the ranch and recorded the brand in his name in 1960.
